Top 12 Black Film Festivals

Film festival directors to create fair and balanced program for their holidays. Despite the quality of the films, a festival with all the Black films is not necessarily as interesting as a mass festival, but opens the door of opportunity for niche festivals. As a filmmaker, when I began to identify the 10 best festivals of Black filmmakers, I was unable to locate any source of identification from the list. Through my own experiences living and working in Los Angeles in the entertainment industry for over 12 years, I had the opportunity to create my own list of film festivals of the 10 Black filmmakers. It is possible to reduce the list to 10 of the same size or greater, my list actually has 12 festivals in it.

1. Black American Cinema Festival

Originally known as the Acapulco Film Festival, the Black Film Festival found its way to Los Angeles via Miami. Produced by Film Life, Inc., which also produces the MTV Movie Black, Black Film Festival Film Festival is the most elegant Black, full of stars in Black films independently of the studio system.

2. Pan African Film and Arts Festival in Los Angeles

With an attendance of over 200,000 people for the film festival and the arts, Paff is the largest and one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world Black. Each year, Paff screens over 150 films in the U.S., Africa, the Caribbean, South America, South Pacific, Europe and Canada.
